Mala Making and Mantra Magic

  • Better Buzz Yoga 2714 West 44th Avenue Denver, CO, 80211 United States (map)

Step into the energy of 2026 with presence, purpose, and a sacred tool created by your own hands. In this intimate three-hour workshop, we gather as a small circle of humans to craft a traditional 108-bead mala. More than just a beautiful accessory, a mala is a physical anchor for your spirit.

As we hand-knot each bead, we will weave in our personal aspirations and heart-centered intentions for the year ahead. Beyond the craft, we will explore the power of sound and the Magic of Mantra. We will work specifically with the ancient mantra "Om Mani Padme Hum"—the mantra of compassion. You will learn how to use your new mala as a "spirit counter," using the vibration of this chant to transform your 2026 intentions into reality. Whether you are seeking clarity, peace, or a bold new path, the resonance of our collective voices will help lock that energy into your beads.

What to Expect:

  • The Craft: Learn the meditative, rhythmic art of hand-knotting a mala from start to finish.

  • The Intention:Guided reflection to help you discover or refine your specific *Sankalpa* (intention) for 2026.

  • The Connection: A small-group setting designed for authentic conversation, storytelling, and shared snacks.

  • The Activation: We will close by “awakening” our malas through a powerful group chant of *Om Mani Padme Hum*, sealing our intentions with sound.

  • Nourishment & Takeaways: Light, nourishing snacks will be provided to keep our energy high. You’ll leave with a finished mala, a heart full of connection, and a powerful mantra to carry you through the year.

  • Materials Needed:

    • Comfortable clothes

    • A yoga mat (if you have one; studio mats are available)

    • Reading glasses, if you use them

    • A seated cushion, if you have one that can travel with you
